Britannia Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Rakshit Hargave as its new Chief Executive Officer and additional Whole-time Director, effective December 15, 2025, for a term of five years, subject to shareholder approval. The company formally disclosed the development in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Mr. Hargave brings with him over three decades of leadership experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, having held senior positions across several distinguished organizations. He joins Britannia from Birla Opus, the paints venture of the Aditya Birla Group, where he served as Chief Executive Officer since 2021. Under his leadership, Birla Opus established six manufacturing facilities, developed a nationwide distribution network, and built a strong leadership team laying a robust foundation for the brand’s national expansion.
An alumnus of IIT (BHU), Varanasi and the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, Mr. Hargave began his career with Tata Motors before moving to Nestlé India, where he managed the Maggi Noodles franchise. Over the years, he has held pivotal roles at Hindustan Unilever, Beiersdorf (NIVEA), Lakmé Lever Pvt. Ltd. and Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., where he played a key role in launching Domino’s 30-minute delivery model, an innovation that transformed India’s quick-service restaurant segment.
Mr. Hargave’s career reflects a consistent focus on brand building, operational excellence, innovation, and consumer-centric growth. His appointment at Britannia comes at a time when the company is strengthening its focus on innovation, sustainability and digital transformation across product categories and markets.
