SBICAP Securities, the brokerage subsidiary of State Bank of India, has appointed Bhuvaneshwari A. as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
A veteran of the SBI Group with over three decades of experience, Bhuvaneshwari began her career as a Probationary Officer in 1994 and has since held multiple leadership roles across retail, operations, transformation, and strategy.
In her previous role as Chief General Manager of SBI’s Thiruvananthapuram Circle, she led more than 1,200 branches, contributing to robust growth in retail lending, deposits and regional market share. Prior to that, at the SBI Corporate Centre in Mumbai, she served as General Manager – Redesign Studio, where she spearheaded process optimisation and experience-enhancement initiatives for both customers and employees.
Outlining her vision for SBICAP Securities, Bhuvaneshwari said the company would focus on becoming a digitally powered, innovation-led and customer-first investment services firm.
She added, “We aim to strengthen our technology platforms, broaden our product portfolio and deepen customer engagement. We want to democratise access to quality research for investors while empowering our teams to deliver better service all with governance, trust and transparency at the core.”
Her appointment comes at a time when SBICAP Securities is expanding its digital capabilities and retail investor outreach in India’s rapidly evolving capital markets.
