HDFC Bank Strengthens Leadership Team with Vibhash Naik as CHRO

HDFC Bank, one of India’s premier private sector lenders, has appointed Vibhash Naik as its new Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), underscoring the bank’s strategic emphasis on talent, leadership development, and organizational excellence.

Vibhash Naik brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, organizational transformation, and learning & development. His career spans leadership roles at prominent financial and corporate institutions including HDFC Life, Religare Macquarie Private Wealth, Lehman Brothers, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and Atos, where he shaped HR strategy and organizational culture at scale.

Prior to joining HDFC Bank, Vibhash served as CHRO at HDFC Life, where he was a member of the Executive Committee. In that role, he oversaw HR operations, learning & development, administration, and facilities management for a workforce exceeding 37,000 employees across more than 600 locations. His tenure was marked by initiatives that enhanced employee engagement, leadership pipelines, and a performance-driven culture.

With this appointment, HDFC Bank aims to further strengthen its people strategy, nurture high-potential leaders, and foster an inclusive and high-performance work environment aligned with the bank’s long-term growth objectives.

Vibhash Naik’s leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s workforce strategy, ensuring it remains competitive in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development as HDFC Bank continues its expansion across India.
